Hi Edward,
I'm so pleased I went for Between Sips . I found myself truly engrossed in the discussion. It's so immediate and immersive - quite riveting in truth. I was moved by the three readers' comments about Amba. I know she's a bit of a monster, but I hoped she'd draw the reader along with her, and it seems she does. I wanted to write a non-judgmental novel, and this too came through. As did the fact that the novel was set in a disaster situation, but really about life. I felt so reassured by all of the comments.
My goodness, what a fine trio of readers. I wish I'd been there in the cafe. Actually, I felt I was.
My thanks to all involved.
Very best wishes!

The script from Wishing Shelf’s recent addition to their service, Between Sips, was a gift to me as an author. I cried when I read the feedback – tears of joy – because my book, Comfort in the
Wings, had exactly the input on them that I wished for readers when writing it. They recognized it as being about so much more than grief. One of the participants described the book as being
about living after grief and even more importantly, about love. The quiet, everyday manner in which Larissa experiences her emotions is what spoke to them. I am grateful for this unique
approach to exploring my book and look forward to determining how best to use this feedback to find more readers.
I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting when I submitted my book, Kirkyard Moon, to BetweenSips. Knowing that it would be read by real people was a huge pull for me so I went for it. When I read the screenplay I was speechless and quite emotional. It encapsulated my story so beautifully. The readers understood what I was writing and gave me something to proudly share. This is a unique way to market my book and also a wonderful way to learn if I’m presenting what I think I am to my readers. I’m very grateful.
I wasn't sure what to expect from the Between Sips promotional idea, but it sounded unique, so I was game. I loved it! It seemed so authentic. I felt like I was eavesdropping on a real conversation. It was informative for me as an author to see what resonated and how the conversation evolved. I was shocked and pleased that the readers caught all the nuances of my intended message and resonated with the characters' "humanness". I wasn't sure people would. And they DID! Hearing their honest dialogue was fantastic feedback for me, and the format made it fun and visual. I would love to see it as a real movie. Thanks, TWS, for bringing your creativity to the table for us Indie authors. We need all the help we can get.
